Week 5: Reading/Thursday

I am currently reading a book called A Bride for Donnigan. In the book, Kathleen is rushing to get to work on time. She did not want to lose her job. Despite her running and rushing, she however was still late. For being late, she got extra work to do. After work, she came home exhausted. She still had to clean the house, do the laundry, and cook dinner. She had to do all of those chores because her "Mother" was very mean to her and left all the work for her. When Kathleen got home, her step-sister excitedly told her that her "mother" was getting remarried!!!!!! I am enjoying this book!

Week 5: Reading

I am now reading a book called A Bride for Donnigan. In the book, There is a girl named Kathleen. She is looking at a sign on a flickering lamp post. She says the words seemed to come right off the page. It read: Attention Ladies! The opportunity of a life time in New American Frontier. Great farmers, ranchers, blacksmiths, etc. waiting for a beautiful beloved wife. Apply for the trip of a Lifetime Opportunity Now!Kathleen could not believe her eyes. She could not think of anyone who would actually accept this offer! She thought to herself No, surely not a woman would accept this kind of stuff. 

Week 3: Wednesday

I am reading a book called Mystery at Lilac Inn. In the book, the diamonds were just found! Everyone is extremely excited about the appearance of the diamonds. Nancy,however, is still curious about the diamonds and the clues about the person in the house. She also found a secret door that in inside the walls and is connected to the wall in the dining room and the closet in the main foyer in the lobby. She thinks it may be her so called twin, for she found her card that was stolen from her house along with some of her clothes that people would recognize to be hers.

Thursday

I am currently reading a book called Mystery At Lilac Inn. In the book, Emily has just gotten her twenty diamonds passed down from her mother. Her Aunt Hazel made a banquet in honor of Emily getting her diamonds. After Emily opened her diamonds, the lights went out. They were out for about 20 seconds. When they came back on, her diamonds were gone. Her Aunt Hazel nearly passed out. Nancy started to investigate and try to find those diamonds.

Thursday

I am reading a book called Mystery at Lilac Inn. In the book, Nancy was driving back to the inn. While driving back, there was a car behind her going extremely fast. The car wouldn't stop going fast. It eventually hit Nancy and her car went into a ditch of water. She got out her car and called the tow man. He got her car out and sent it to the car shop. She then walked back to the inn. As she walked back, she wondered about the mystery at the inn her so called "twin" about each of them and wondered if they had a connection.

Wednesday

I am currently reading a Nancy Drew Book. It is called the Mystery At Lilac Inn. It is already a very interesting book. In the book, Nancy and Helen know something is going on. First, they were wrecked in their canoe, then there is a mystery at the inn. Now Nancy got a call from Hannah that their house was broken into. Nancy hurried home to help comfort Hannah. Nancy is telling Helen to get ready for anything to happen. I am enjoying this novel a lot!

Week 9: Wednesday

I am reading The mystery at lilac inn. It was written by Carolyn Keene. In the book, Nancy and her friend Helen were stopped by one of their friends named Doris. Doris told them that someone told them they were talking to them when they were not. This seemed very mysterious to Nancy. After they had talked, Nancy and Helen got in a canoe and rowed themselves to the shore by their other friend's hotel/inn. I am enjoying this book. I am going to take a test on it tomorrow.

Thursday

In my book, Beastly, Kyle Kingsbury has just come home. When he goes into his room, Kendra, or "the witch" , was waiting for him. She told him that what he did was wrong. She also told him others wrong things he did in the past. He realized that he was wrong. She told him he was going to suffer the consequences. When she turned him around, he was shocked at the image in the mirror. He became a BEAST!!!!!

Monday

I am currently reading the book Beastly. In it, Kyle has told "the witch" that he was going to the dance with her. When she arrived at the dance, Kyle was there with his girlfriend Slaone. They both made fun of her and joked about her. She didn't cry. All she said to Kyle in a whisper wear only he could hear it was "you'll see!" When Kyle got home that night from the dance, "the witch" was sitting on his bed, waiting for him. I am now on page 29. This is a very good book.

Week 6: Tuesday

I took 2 AR tests today. I made a 9/10 and 10/10! :) Today i am going to start reading a book called A Friend At Midnight by Caroline B. Cooney. I love her books!!!!

Week 6: Monday

I am currently reading a book called What Janie found. In the book, Janie finds out where her kidnapper lives. She now has to travel to that place with her ex-boyfriend, Reeve, and her younger brother Brian. They went to go and visit their older brother Stephen. She has a new girlfriend. Janie and Brian don't really like her.I am enjoying reading this book.

Week 5: Tuesday

In my book,Riding the flume, the girl is anxious to get back to the letter. She got into trouble at dinner for going to the forest. He father was very upset. He left the table after talking about her sister. After that her mother started to cry. She felt so bad for making her parents upset, but she had to go back and see what was written on that letter.

Week 4: Monday

I am currently reading a book called Riding the Flume. In the book there is a girl who lives with her parents. Every now and then she would sneak away and go to the forest. While in the forest, she would count the rings on the sequoia trees. When her mother came looking for her, she found a note in the tree. I am very curious of what that note is about. I am enjoying this book!

Week 3: Monday

My class and I finally finished Where The Red Fern Grows. In the end, Billy realizes on the way home that Old Dan's insides were hanging out. He soon died. :( After they got home, they buried Old Dan. Little Ann was so sad. After Old Dan died, she didnt have the strength to go on. She laid on his grave and died. Then a red fern grew between their graves.

Week 2: Thursday

In the book, Where the Red Fern Grows, Billy,his father, and his grandfather are still at the competition. They had made it to the last round. Before they started to go hunting, it started to sleet. They decided to go on. On the hunt, The group lost Grandpa. They tried to find out where he was, but they couldn't find him.However, when they put Little Ann on the trail, she found him. He sprang his ankle badly although that did not stop them from getting the coons.

Week 2: Wednesday

My class and I are currently reading a book called Where the Red Fern Grows. In the book right now, Billy is in a hunting contest. He first put Little Ann in a beauty contest. She won fair and square. Of course, he started to cry. After that he picked his day to go hunting. He had the fourth day. He had much faith in his dogs. He knew they wouldn't let him down.                  

Week 2: Monday

I am currently reading a book called Where the red fern grows. It is about a young boy named Billy who longs to have two dogs. Not just any two dogs, he wanted redbone coon hounds. He begged his parents, however they said no because they could not afford them. So one day Billy asked God to help him get those dogs. Soon Billy started to save up little by little of what he could earn in small jobs.
