Week 7: Wednesday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the story, Abigail's parents and her youngest brother dies. Damaris agreed to take them in. She didn't know how she would take care of them, so Gil stepped in and said he would help her take care of them. Damaris now lives in a house with the children. The children are gaining weight and are becoming happy again.

Week 7: Monday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Damaris is still working at her three jobs. She is very grateful for them. She is becoming a better christian everyday. However she cannot forget what her father did to her mom and her. She now has a new idea. It is to make a Sunday School. I am enjoying this book.

Week 6: Friday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In this book Damaris is mad. She thinks that her name in the bible means nothing because it was only in one sentence. Miss Doover showed Damaris that it meant much more than that.I am enjoying this book.

Week 6: Thursday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Damaris got off for Christmas Day. It was the first time she got off on work. She was so excited. She was also invited to a Christmas Party from Ms. Doover. I am enjoying this book.

Week 6: Wednesday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the story Damaris meets one of Ms. Doover's friends. His name was Gil ,and seemed pretty special to Ms. Doover. Damaris realized how great it is to have a sheriff in the diner. One day a drunk man came into the diner. the next thing Damaris knew, the man grabbed her. The sheriff was there to defend her. The man quickly left.

Week 6: Tuesday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Ms.Stacey has found two extra jobs for Damaris. She is very grateful. One of the people she works for is Miss Dobber. She was extremely kind to Damaris. She also let Damaris borrow a bible, the one book Damaris has longed to read.

Week 5: Thursday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Damaris now has a job with a lady named Ms. Stacey. Ms. Stacey runs a resturant. Damaris did not know how to serve tables. It was difficult at first, but she finally got the hang of it.I am enjoyng this book.

Week 5: Tuesday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Damaris and the family has finally reached the town. She now works for a lady named Ms. Stacey. Damaris can tell that she is a kind-hearted lady. She even offered to lend her a few aprons. Damaris knew this was where she was suppose to be.

Week 4: Thursday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Damaris could not take a job from the lady. She had to go with the family until they stopped. She felt so weary after hearing that news. She felt even more weary when she heard that the trip would be an extra 11-13 days. All she could do was not give up.

Week 4: Monday

In my current book A Woman Named Damaris, Damaris has heard that they are only three days away from the western town. She was so excited. She broke the commander's rule by going from the camp alone. When she was alone from the camp, the commander found her. He did not even punish her! He just told her he didn't mind her doing that because he sees how hard she works everyday. Damaris was extremely astonished by the commander's understanding. I am enjoying reading this book.

Week 3: Thursday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. Damaris was thinking back on her life at home.Thinking of all the books she left behind. No siblings or little ones to watch. Having her own room. She also started to worry about her mother. If she had been beaten for her disappearance. She wondered if running away was worth the risk.

Week 3: Wednesday

I am currently reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. Damaris is now getting tired of working. She has to tell herself everyday to get on going. She wish more than ever that she would have some time to herself. She also wish that she brought her mother's books with her. Seeing other children reading made her very jealous. After all the hard work, she knew she must go on.

Week 3: Monday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. In the book, Damaris has currently gotten a job. She knows it will become a big job. Her first assignment was to make a meal before they set off. She knows that the job after will be much harder.

Week 2: Wednesday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. Damaris has finally found a job here and there. There was a lady who was very compassionate and Damaris wish that she could have stayed. Damaris has always wanted to go west. She now has an opportunity to. She has got a job working for a man and his wife to take care of three of their children during the ride west. I am very much enjoying this book.

Week 2: Tuesday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. I am on page 34. I am enjoynig this book. I know I will also enjoy the points it will give me for AR. When I last read a train was passing where Damaris was. She at first did not know what the sound was, but then later came ashamed because she was very fimiliar with trains even though trains did not go through her town. 

Week 2: Monday

I am reading a book called A Woman Named Damaris. It is very interesting and has very good word structure. In the book Damaris is running away. She has just ran into a stranger ,and she hoped that he would not spread the word that he saw a girl on the road back. Where I stopped, Damaris was just caught up in rain. She hopes it will cease soon.

In my current book, A Woman Named A Damaris, Damaris is runing away from home. She has found a stream of cold fresh water to refill her water bottle. She has also found railroad tracks which lead to a town. I am enjoying this book very much. I love how Janette Oke can put God in everything without even mentioning it.

In my book, A Woman Named Damaris, Damaris has now run away from home.She left when her mom was taking a nap. She planned to make her move when her father went to town. She knew it would be sometime soon because she knew her father could not resist alcohol. He would take their money and spend it all on alcohol. She knew for sure that she must get away from him. I love reading books by Janette Oke.  

Week 1: Wednesday

I have a new book! I finished my recent book, When Hope Springs New. I took a test on it and I made a 19 out of 20. My new book is ,A Woman Named Damaris. I am on page 17. It is about a girl who has a drunk father who does not care for her mother and her very much. I am enjoying this book right now.

Week 1: 2nd 9 weeks

Monday: In my book, When Hope Springs New, Elizabeth and Wynn have to move away. Elizabeth was very sad because she was leaving a "new" village. Even though Elizabeth was mad, she was extremely happy because her new home was very big. I hope I finish this book by Wednesday. I am on page 186 out of 222.

Week 9:Thursday

In my book, When Hope Springs New, something astonishing has happened. The men have come back from the city. They bring back the news that the city would send in supplies and people to help build homes for them. Elizabeth was very excited and felt like a weight was coming off her shoulders. I am enjoying this book. Hopefully i will be done with it by Wednesday. :)

Week 9: Wednesday

In my book, When Hope Springs New, Wynn has just returned home. HE is finding differences in every person. Lameche ,the store keeper, is not cruel anymore.The Indians are now taking orders from Elizabeth instead of running from her. He also notices that one of the Indian women is interested in LaMeche. I am enjoying this book more every page. I would recommend Janette Oke's books to anyone. She is an exceptional author.

Week 9

I am currently reading the book, When Hope Springs New. I am on page 153. Elizabeth is happy because Wynn is back home. They went back to the destruction of the fire and found their "promise" bucket. They saw how God kept his promise even through a fire.I am very much enjoying this book.

Week 8

In my current book,When Hope Springs New, Elizabeth has to put up with not having Wynn by her side. She is getting along with the Indians even though times are hard. It has rained for two days and Elizabeth has not gotten any sleep. She has realized what a big help the store keeper was. She knows that she would not have been able to manage without him.

Week 8

Wednesday: I am currently reading the book, When Hope Springs New. It is a very good book. In my current readings, Elizabeth has just had to put up with a forest fire. The fire completely destroyed the village.Elizabeth now has to put up with having nothing to own and still trust God.

Week 7 Thursday

Elizabeth and Wynn have now moved to a different settlement. The Indians there do not like Elizabeth and wont open up to her. She is very frustrated even though she knows it will take some time. She has just made a garden and is so happy that spring is here.

Week 6

Monday:   The book I am reading is When Breaks The Dawn.  This is an exceptional book ,and I would recommend it to anyone. I have just currently read a part where Elizabeth wants to be with child so badly, she is willing to go behind Wynn's back and get some medicine from a midwife named Big Women. For some reason, Elizabeth doesn't feel right when she decides to go see Big Women. Elizabeth never did go see Big Women and later found out from her husband, Wynn, that Big Women does witchcraft. Elizabeth is thankful that she didn't go to Big Women.

Week 5

Thursday: My book that I am currently reading is When Breaks the Heart. In the story, Elizabeth was just married her beloved Wynn. He is a member of the Royal North West Mounted Police. Elizabeth's best friend Nimmie has just returned from Calgary with her husband. They both are very close and do almost everything together. 

Thursday: Nancy has been locked inside of a closet by the same robbers who in the past robbed Nancy's friends.Nancy is trying as hard as she can to get out and report the men to the police.

Friday: The police cant find a trace of the robbers. Nancy now has to trace the robbers herself even if it means putting herself into danger.She has two roads leading into two different directions and she takes the road she thinks will lead her to the men.
